Where to get Criminal/Credit Background Checks Done

I am interested to find out if there is a preferred method of completing Criminal/Credit checks on prospective tenants. I have searched the archives and was not able to find any comments on this subject. Thanks in advance for the information.

Hi Glenn,
We use another service right now. Costs about $25 for credit - does not include criminal check. I just received an email about this service and it looks interesting. We may try it out for our next applicant.

I use Rental Research for credit. They offer criminal for an extra charge. Note that a criminal check for one state doesn't pull in other states.

We use FIRST ADVANTAGE SAFERENT.

We use Landlord 2 landlord.

We use Kroll Factual Data and have been satisfied with the pricing and services.
